The Ten Second Tap Troop with Becky was created by Rebecca Little especially for the Kinder-Berry School of Dance during lockdown 1, 2020.

Over five weeks from 25th April - 23rd May Rebecca posted films with her demonstrating three, ten second clips of the three levels of tap classes that she teaches at K B Dance: Primary; Grade 3 and Grade 4. Every week there was a new selection of steps.

The students then chose their tap level, learnt their 10 second clip, filmed their steps (but only from the knees down!) and had a week to email their clip in.

The Ten Second Tap Troop project, was a fun way of connecting with the students while we couldn't all attend dance classes in person, due to the Covid-19 situation. 

Rebecca edited all the clips together, making a K B Dance, group tap video, which was released on the Little Pixie and KB dance Facebook pages on Fri 5th June. Although the final edit of the film was just a bit of fun, over the course of the TSTT project, the students had all been practising steps from their relevant grades and for some, even learning new ones.

This led to the Ten Second Tap Troop Choreography Challenge! A chance to look back at the five weeks of steps from Rebecca's TSTT films and for the students to use any of those steps from their grade level, to then choreograph their own TSTT film to send in. The winners were announced at the end of the Summer term.
